ASSISTANT MANAGER
Part-time hours
15–20 hours a week, to include at least one weekend shift each month.
We're a lively dance and fitness studio with a real passion for movement, wellbeing, and community. Our studio is a welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities, where we run classes, workshops, private hires, and events, and we love what we do!
We're now looking for an enthusiastic, people loving organiser to join our team and help keep everything running smoothly.
About the Role
You'll be working closely with our studio manager, getting stuck into the everyday running of the business. No two days are quite the same, one moment you might be sorting a party booking, the next updating the website or helping a new instructor to settle in.
If you like variety and you like people, you'll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll be:
Working directly with the studio manager to support & share the running the studios
Handling studio hire enquiries and bookings
Coordinating workshop and party bookings from first enquiry through to confirmation
Scheduling classes and keeping instructors and clients in the loop
Raising invoices and supporting general financial admin
Taking care of day to day studio admin and correspondence
Keeping the studio website fresh and up to date
Maintaining staff and instructor records
Being a friendly, helpful point of contact for clients, whether in person, by phone or online
What We're Looking For
Essential
Someone who genuinely loves working with people and gets a kick out of keeping things running like clockwork!
Great organisational skills and a real eye for detail
A warm, confident, and approachable communication style
Comfortable with using email, scheduling software, and website platforms (all necessary training will be given)
Some experience in an admin or customer facing role
The ability to juggle tasks and manage your own time well
Desirable
Experience in a leisure, fitness or events setting
Familiarity with booking systems, spreadsheets and Google workplace
Experience in a management or supervisory role

The Details
This is a part time role, initially 15 hours a week, rising to 20 hours a week on successful completion of our 3 month probationary period. This would include at least one weekend shift per month.

Customer Experience Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for a warm, energetic and passionate person to join our team. As one of our Customer Service Specialists, you will be the first and last face our clients see and we want that experience to be truly unforgettable.
You'll keep our studio running smoothly, our clients feeling valued, and our space looking pristine. If you love people, have an interest in fitness and wellbeing and creating exceptional experiences, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience
Greet every client with a warm, genuine welcome that makes them feel at home from the moment they walk through the door.
Ensure every client interaction, whether in person, by phone or social media, reflects our studio's values and
Handle client queries, concerns and feedback with patience, professionalism and a solution focused approach
Reception & Bookings
Manage the reception desk, ensuring it is organised, professional and welcoming at all times
Process class bookings, cancellations and waitlist requests using our booking system
Handle membership enquiries and assist with sign-ups, renewals and account management
Studio Upkeep
Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas, including the reception, changing rooms, bathrooms and studio.
Carry out regular checks throughout your shift to ensure the studio always looks its very best
Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly to the Studio Manager

The Details
This position is a part-time position with flexible hours. The core hours will currently be one Sunday morning per month and every Friday evening, starting at 4.30pm. We are looking for someone who could also be flexible and available to cover team holiday, sickness etc. across our opening hours. NB.These core hours may increase in the future.
As we continue to grow all elements of our business, you may be asked to cover a range of events/studio hires at the weekends, so confidence to work independently will be important

We are seeking volunteers to support these sessions.
We ask that volunteers have some experience of supporting others in a similar role.
Guidance and support will be provided as part of the volunteer role from the Service Lead.
There will be at least one Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) in attendance to support volunteers at each group.
Your role:
provide a warm ‘guiding’ welcome
introduce new cafe chatters as they arrive
Encourage conversations between those at the cafe
Listen with empathy & non-judgement
Check in with each attendee with care & kindness
Discuss well being topics, ideas, intentions and habits "the little things"
Observe if an attendee needs extra support from a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA)
encourage attendees to share together and to widen their own support networks
create a special community that supports one another

We are seeking qualified Mental Health First Aiders (full qualification) to support volunteers during these sessions.
Please read through the Volunteer profile above.
Guidance and support will be provided from the Service Lead.
Your role:
support the Friday Night Chat Volunteers with MHFA resources
mentor the MHFA volunteers as appropriate for their role and responsibilities
Prepare Well Being activities or topics for introducing at meet ups
Provide supervision to the volunteers during each session
Check in with volunteers after each group to ensure they feel supported
Take overall responsibility at each session for any attendees requiring additional services or support.
play an integral part in shaping the service and community alongside the service lead (also a volunteer)
As part of this role we would be looking for the volunteer to be available every third Friday of the month on a consistent basis.
The service lead volunteer can provide cover for dates that can't be made.
