What is Tai Chi

Tai Chi is  one of the best known martial arts of the Internal systems from ancient China. Based on Qigong and martial art techniques , more widespread understanding dates back to the late 1600s .It is the fusion of an ancient system of health & wellbeing (Qigong) with a powerful martial art (Chinese boxing). These days Tai Chi is largely practiced as a moving medication, for relaxation, mindfulness and improving posture, breathing, balance, coordination and general health & wellbeing.

What to expect?

From the outset we aim to dial down the noise in our brains caused by the modern world by focussing on the mind and  body in moving meditation and how it feels as we perform the beautiful flowing movements of Tai Chi.

How can I join?

Simply head over to our booking page to reserve your space. This is a £6 subsidised class offered as part of our the Healthy You initiative. If you have a family member, friend or neighbour that you think may benefit please get in touch so we can get them signed up.
